HISTORY
The Dimitri car company was founded in 1981 by Dimitri Faustin (born in 1963), just turned 18. Son of the Faustin Motors' (car company) manager, at the time run by his father.
Dimitri later acquired Faustin Motors and became its owner.
The first success of the Dimitri house (already benefited by Faustin Motors) was the Dimitri Faustin, which bore the exact same name as the founder: it was a muscle car type car that Dimitri's father had built in the garage together with his son (in times of childhood) entirely in an artisanal way, obviously taking advantage of the skills, knowledge, and projects of his Faustin Motors, which began to suffer a market decline and was increasingly swallowed up and beaten by the rival company Gionelli.
Dimitri Faustin immediately had a great success, which lasted throughout the 80s.
So it was that the father decided, in 1986, to merge Faustin Motors with Dimitri and to work in the company of his son, who had managed to resurrect Faustin Motors using however a more "nice" brand in the eyes of the people.
Over time Dimitri began to develop different categories of vehicles, coming to produce small cars, trucks, vans, sports cars ...
Many believe Dimitri to be a young company, but in reality it is a radical swap of the Faustin Motors company, founded in 1924 by Vladimir Faustin, who also dealt with the production of military vehicles for Russia.
From 2016 Dimitri is part of FCT Group (FabCag Transports Group), which includes the best motor brands in the market, a property of FabCag Software, but the company Dimitri is still free in all their choiches, and the legendary CEO is still Dimitri Faustin, but FCT helps a lot managing some brands popularity and organizations.
