Foster Automotive Ltd.

Foster Automotive is a U.S. company founded in 2016, with one of its main investors being the Aimtec Group. Initially, it focused on building replica cars and handcrafted sports cars. Since 2019, thanks to Aimtec's new production facilities for the Chinese brand Konetec, the group has expanded its range of vehicles to include industrial vehicles as well.

FOSTER CODARD

Foster Codard
Foster Codard

The Foster Codard is a handcrafted retro sports car. The chassis is made of aluminum, while the body is constructed from fiberglass. It features McPherson suspension at the front and a Multilink system at the rear. The car is available to order with various engine options, tailored to different market demands. At the core of the vehicle is the pursuit of driving pleasure, combining retro styling with an accessible price point for the quality offered by the product.

- 2.3 Ecoboost

The entry-level version features a 2.3-liter Ecoboost engine produced by Ford, delivering 280 horsepower. The car can be ordered with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed PowerShift dual-clutch transmission with paddle shifters.

- 3.5 V8 Aimtec

The 3.5-liter V8 produced by Aimtec perfectly complements the car. Available with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission, this V8 is made entirely from aluminum. Its compact dimensions ensure lightness while maintaining the signature sound of an American muscle car. This naturally aspirated 40-valve V8 produces 310 horsepower at 6500 RPM.

FOSTER SUPERSPORT

Foster Supersport

The Supersport is the ultimate speedster produced by Foster. The uniqueness of the Supersport lies in the ability for the buyer to customize many crucial aspects of the vehicle, resulting in a unique and tailor-made car.

Base ALUMINIUM or CARBON: the buyer can choose the material for the chassis and the main structural parts of the car, selecting between the aluminum package (more affordable) or carbon fiber (more expensive but lighter).

The engines are the same as those of the Codard; however, the engine is positioned centrally with rear-wheel drive. Additionally, we have the 3.5 V8 available in a 400-horsepower version (special S version) or a 530-horsepower BITURBO S version, both of which can be paired with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

On special request, as with the Codard, further customized versions in terms of engine and transmission (labeled CUSTOM) could also be requested.

FOSTER TAMPERER

Foster Tamperer is a modern off-road vehicle designed to provide a product that is both comfortable for everyday use and effective in critical road situations. The ladder-frame chassis identifies it as a true off-roader, despite its modern bodywork and interior, which resemble those of a contemporary SUV.

To appeal to the European market, the vehicle is also developed in sophisticated hybrid and/or low-emission versions.

Development and Branding

Entirely developed by the Aimtec Group, the vehicle was initially intended to bear the Konetec logo. However, for commercial reasons, the project was presented under the American Foster brand.

Hybrid Technology

The hybrid version features a combustion engine that powers the front-wheel drive, combined with two electric motors—one for each rear wheel—to manage the rear-wheel drive.

The combustion engine is available in both diesel and petrol versions:

A choice of a 1.5-liter or 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine, both producing 150 horsepower.

A 1.6-liter turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine, also delivering 150 horsepower.

All are paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The combustion engine can operate independently, utilizing front-wheel drive for movement. In 4x4 mode, the battery-powered electric motors activate, generating up to 75 horsepower per wheel for a combined total of 300 horsepower. This setup provides unparalleled precision: the internal combustion engine handles the front-wheel drive, while the rear electric motors manage the precise amount of power for each wheel, regardless of the situation.

Driving Modes

FUEL DRIVE: Electric motors remain idle, and the battery recharges via regenerative braking. The vehicle operates on combustion engine power only.

HYBRID: Both engine types work together to deliver efficiency and comfort. The vehicle recharges during deceleration.

URBAN: Fully electric rear-wheel drive mode, with speeds up to 100 km/h and a range of up to 60 km.

ECO HYBRID: The combustion engine operates as little as possible to maximize efficiency.

SPORT: All engines work together to provide maximum performance.

OFFROAD: An off-road mode that includes automatic terrain detection and additional useful settings.

GENERATOR: In generator mode, the combustion engine powers the electric motors directly.

All available engines are paired with a sophisticated all-wheel-drive system, which includes differential lock capabilities.

FOSTER GUARDIAN

In 2023, the Guardian was introduced as a modern SUV designed to seamlessly adapt to both off-road and urban environments.

The hybrid diesel engines (1.5 and 2.0 liters) and the 1.6-liter petrol hybrid engines are shared with the Tamperer. In addition to these, the Guardian offers new, more powerful hybrid powertrains that utilize the same advanced technology.

Now, drivers can experience a hybrid drivetrain with 500 horsepower, thanks to either a 2.3-liter turbocharged petrol engine or a 3.0-liter V6 turbocharged diesel engine. In this configuration, the electric motors deliver 125 horsepower each, for a total of 250 horsepower at the rear axle and 250 horsepower at the front axle. The driving functionalities remain the same as the 300-horsepower versions.
