HISTORY

Micropassion, known as MPA or simply MP, is an English brand founded in 2011 by James Runt and is a brand of small-sized craft cars.  In 2013 he presented his first car to the public.  The first engines were designed with the EcoDrive project, at the request of James Runt.

In 2016 Zughumi Motors acquires 15% of the company.

In 2018 MPA offered $ 500,000 to Gionelli to be able to establish a partnership and market a vehicle using his logos, however Gionelli reformulated the proposal by accepting only $ 250,000, but asked her to design the vehicle based only on some preferences of MPA.  The agreement was accepted and Gionelli completely designed his vehicle in 3 months.

In 2020 Zughumi decides to acquire a total of 50% of Micropassion Automotive, with the intention of producing vehicles mainly for the Russian and Indian markets.  Adam Schwell becomes the new CEO of MPA and says: "I got in touch with this company thanks to Model Z, the best performing 3-cylinder car in the world. I will also put my all into MPA and bring this company to the peak of its productivity. Welcome to the Zughumi family!"

Zughumi starts investing in MPA, introducing new car models also equipped with new engines, suitable for as many markets as possible.

In December 2021, Adam Schwell, the CEO of the Zughumi group (and also of Micropassion), announces the definitive closure of the brand in 2022. Unfortunately, the models produced have not found sufficient success for the survival of the brand, without the need to inject additional funds by the other participants of the alliance, apologizing to the fans of the brand.

From 2022 all the rights owned by MPA will pass to Zughumi Group, leaving Micropassion individually and a deceased brand.
